We Are: Kelly M. Kenzik, PhD, MS

Kelly M. Kenzik, PhD is an Epidemiologist in the Department of Surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She has expertise in the measurement and evaluation of patient-reported outcomes, advanced epidemiologic methods as well latent variable and structural equation modeling approaches to big data.

Her research focuses on cancer populations with additional work in trauma and surgical populations. She also conducts work on the financial burden and costs of care in cancer, promoting value-based, patient-centered care. Her research uses integrated data (clinical, patient report, administrative, financial, geographic, and biologic) to inform clinical decision making, policy development, and interventions for improving patient outcomes.

Dr. Kenzik is currently funded by the National Cancer Institute. She has previously been funded by the American Cancer Society and held the role of Program Director of an NIH T32 training program in trauma outcomes research, mentoring clinician-scientists committed to advancing equitable and evidence-based care.
