Mariem Ahmed is a Research Assistant II at the PROVE Center, where they support the implementation of the team’s various projects. They primarily work on imPROVE, our patient-facing breast cancer care platform, and is involved in other aspects of our work. They earned a degree in Psychology from Howard University, with minors in Legal Communications and Political Science. While at Howard, they contributed to research in the Belonging, Learning, Identity, and Culture Lab under Dr. Davis Dixon and conducted independent research exploring trauma through non-Western perspectives. Outside of research, they enjoy biking, traveling to new cities, and discovering new coffee shops.
