PROMs are an essential component of value-based health care. However, their adoption in health systems both in the US and across the world has been low and heterogeneous. To drive the broader and more rapid dissemination of PROMs, Newsweek and Statista developed a survey to measure the use of PROMs across hospitals. The results of this survey were incorporated into the 2023 editions of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals and World’s Best Hospitals rankings published by Newsweek and Statista. Dr. Bates will present the development and launch of the survey, sharing key results and insights gained from the process.
