PROMS Summer School: Unlocking Predictive Insights

Join us to learn how patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), long used to support patient-centered care, are now being harnessed through advanced analytics to predict outcomes. Dr. Thomas Roberts will share how the Mass General Cancer Center in Boston has leveraged over 100,000 PROMs responses to identify patients at high risk of adverse outcomes and drive quality improvement in cancer care. Zuzanna Wojcik and Kate Absolom will then present results from a study that used longitudinally collected symptom severity reports and four machine learning models to predict hospital admission risk during chemotherapy. They will also discuss how AI techniques are being applied to PROMs data to better understand patient trajectories, along with key methodological considerations and future directions in this rapidly evolving field.
