We Are: Laura Dominici, MD, FACS

Laura Dominici, MD, FACS is the Section Chief of Breast Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, an Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and an Assistant Professor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Dominici is the Chair of the Cancer Committee for the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. She is adjunct faculty in the Patient-Reported Outcomes, Value & Experience (PROVE) Center at Brigham Health in Boston. Dr. Dominici studied medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed a general surgery residency at Lahey Clinic Medical Center (now Lahey Hospital) in Burlington, MA, and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Dr. Dominici’s clinical interests include nipple-sparing mastectomy, breast conservation surgery, mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, neoadjuvant therapy, and sentinel lymph node biopsy. The author of over 25 peer-reviewed publications, she actively researches both systemic and local therapy treatments of breast cancer with a specific focus on clinical implications of patient-reported outcomes.
