Laura Dominici, MD, FACS is the Section Chief of Breast Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, an Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and an Assistant Professor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Dominici is the Chair of the Cancer Committee for the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. She is adjunct faculty in the Patient-Reported Outcomes, Value & Experience (PROVE) Center at Brigham Health in Boston.
Dr. Dominici studied medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed a general surgery residency at Lahey Clinic Medical Center (now Lahey Hospital) in Burlington, MA, and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Dr. Dominici’s clinical interests include nipple-sparing mastectomy, breast conservation surgery, mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, neoadjuvant therapy, and sentinel lymph node biopsy. The author of over 25 peer-reviewed publications, she actively researches both systemic and local therapy treatments of breast cancer with a specific focus on clinical implications of patient-reported outcomes.
