SEMINAR: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Considerations for Patient-Reported Outcome Measurement

This talk will discuss DEI barriers and and offer potential solutions for patient-reported outcome measurement. This talk will cover using implementation science to evaluate patient-reported outcome data collection initiatives and including equity as an outcome.

Dr. Stover is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at UNC Chapel Hill in the US. She also co-directs the Implementation Science Methods Unit for UNC’s Clinical and Translational Science Award from NIH. Dr. Stover is one of the original developers of six of the NIH PROMIS scales and teaches courses on PROMs and implementation science in the UNC Gilling’s School of Global Public Health.

Dr. Retzer is a Research Fellow based at the Institute of Applied Health Research at the University of Birmingham, UK. She undertakes research relating to use of patient-reported outcomes in routine practice and clinical trials, equity-focused research methods, core outcome set methodology, and public health research with particular focus on rapid response evaluation.
