SEMINAR: Establishing a Clinically Meaningful Bariatric PROMs Program

Dr. Danny Mou will give a summary of how he established a PROMs program at the Emory Bariatric Center (EBC). Though only a year old, the EBC PROMs program has collected over 5,000 surveys at a 82% compliance rate. Most importantly, the PROMs results are regularly used by EBC clinicians. Dr. Mou will review key takeaways and lessons learned from this successful initiative.

Dr. Danny Mou is a bariatric surgeon at Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Emory University. He completed his general surgery residency at Harvard/Brigham and Women’s Hospital. His research focuses on implementing PROMs in a clinically meaningful way for patients undergoing bariatric surgery. He seeks to understand and address the barriers to their effective application in the clinical setting.
